Edit a Printed Cheque

ChequeSystem prevents accidental modification of printed cheques by locking them after printing. The Payee, Cheque Number, Date, and Amount fields are locked to maintain data integrity.

Unlocking a Printed Cheque

To edit a printed cheque, you must first unlock it. In the Cheque window, locate the locked icon next to the cheque number. Click this icon to unlock the cheque. All fields will then become editable.

Password Protection (Optional)

For enhanced security, you can set a password to protect your cheques. In main screen, go to menu “Tools > Cheque Password” to set a password. After setting a password, you’ll need to enter it each time you want to unlock a printed cheque.

Change Log

All edits made to a printed cheque are recorded in the Change Log. This log is accessible via the “Change Log” tab in the Cheque window, providing a complete audit trail of any modifications.
