Variables are powerful placeholders that let you insert dynamic data into your documents. This gives you the flexibility to add personalized and customized content without having to manually type in the information every time.

When you use any of these variables in your document, they will automatically be replaced with the actual content from the document’s data when you print or export the final output.

Dynamic Content Variables

EasyBilling provides six key variables for inserting dynamic data:

[CUSTOMER_NAME] (Customer Name)

[CUSTOMER_ID] (Customer ID)

[DOCUMENT_NUMBER] (Document Number)

[DOCUMENT_DATE] (Document Date)

[TOTAL_AMOUNT] (Total Amount)

[TOTAL_AMOUNT_IN_WORDS] (Total Amount in Words)

Adding Variables to Your Documents

Open the document you want to modify.

Insert variables to add dynamic content. You can type the variable directly into the note field or select it from a dropdown menu (if available).

For example:

To display the document date, insert [DOCUMENT_DATE].

To add the quote total, enter: “The Quote Total is [TOTAL_AMOUNT]”.

Preview your document to confirm that the variables have been replaced with the correct data.

Using Variables in Other Areas

Dynamic variables can also be used in other document areas, such as the footer or labels. For example:

Add [DOCUMENT_NUMBER] to the footer.

Insert [CUSTOMER_NAME] into the signature box.
