Questions on creating a template - BlkPnthr - 12-26-2007

I have created two templates for my cheques and find that the printer is off by just a little bit. I used absolute precise measurements when creating the templates however, find that the characters that are printed are a tad below the measurements I gave. I have an HP 2605dn laser printer with a slot on the bottom tray for manual feeding and it feeds through the center of the printer.

1. How do I get the printer/program to print where I want it?
2. How can I get the printer/cheque to write under the "Memo" field (or Text Line 2).

I'd like to be able to have my cheque print under the Memo/Text Line 2. How am I able to put something under that field. I thought the "Particulars" field might be that Text Line 2 but, it's not.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Hello,

The minor deviation of the print out may due many reasons, like Paper feeding, Printer problems, etc.
You can simply adjust all the fields in the template a little bit, says 1 or 2 mm. It should give you a prefect fit then.

The "Particulars" field is only for recording purpose (also for the audit code field).

If you want to print something else on the cheque, you can use some "unused fields" in the template to make it. (like, Place of Issue)
It is a bit tricky, but can fulfill your requirement.
