Proper Date not reflected
I've made two cheque templates however, the "Date" does not appear how I've created the template. It shows a 3-character date yet, in the template, it's clearly a 2-character date.

Also, why is it under "Cheque Book Management", I cannot select other cheques?? The option has a cheque selected and it's greyed out, is this normal?

Yes. Once the chequebook is created, the cheque template option will be greyed out.
This is to ensure the data consistency of the existing cheques in the chequebook.

What happen if it is allow to change the cheque template?
If the old field is no longer exists in the new template, data of that field in the old cheque will not be shown.
If a new field is added in the new template, the corresponding field in old cheque will shown blank.
These will bring confusion to the user.

You should start a new cheque book with the new template instead.
