  1. In the Cheque Window, click the [Calendar] button located next to the cheque date field.

How to Set the Default Date for New Cheques to Empty (or Choose a Default):

  1. In main screen, go to the menu “Settings > Options“.
  2. In the Options dialog, locate the “Set Default date for new cheque” option. You’ll see a checkbox and a selection of date options: Today, Tomorrow, and 7 Days Later.
  3. To set the default date to Empty, uncheck the box labeled “Set Default date for new cheque“. This will ensure that new cheques do not have a default date automatically filled in.
  4. Alternatively, to set a default date, ensure the box is checked and select your preferred option from the available choices (Today, Tomorrow, or 7 Days Later).

  • Open the Chequebook Window

    From the main screen, click the [New Cheque] button to open the chequebook window.

  • Fill in the Cheque Details

    In the chequebook window, you will find three tabs: “Details“, “Back Side“, and “Change Log“. To create a new cheque, start by filling in the necessary information in the “Details” tab.

    Here is a breakdown of each field:

    • Account: This displays your current account information, including the account name and number.
    • Cheque Number: This is automatically generated based on the sequence defined in your chequebook.
    • Void: Check this box to mark the cheque as void. Void cheques will not be included in report calculations.
    • Date: Click the calendar icon to specify the date of the cheque.
    • A/C Payee Only: Check this box to mark the cheque as “crossed” with the text “A/C PAYEE ONLY.”
    • Bearer: Check this box to make the cheque a “Bearer Cheque”.
    • Payee: Enter the payee’s name manually or select a name from your Payee List.
    • Amount: Enter the numerical amount of the cheque. The amount in words will be generated automatically.
    • Particulars: Use this field to add notes about the cheque.
    • Audit Code: This field is for adding an audit code for accounting purposes.
    • Status: The status of a cheque can be set as either Outstanding or Clear.
    • Remarks: This is an additional field for including any extra notes.

    As you fill in the details, the preview pane will update in real-time to show you what the printed cheque will look like.

  • Use the Tool Bar and Cheque Navigation

    At the top-right corner of the window, you can use the color menu to highlight the cheque.

    The Tool Bar at the top of the window allows you to save and print the cheque. You can also switch to a new cheque or navigate to the previous or next cheque using the arrow buttons.

  • Printing

    Once all the necessary details are entered, click the [Print] button at the top to print your cheque.
