How to Type Special Symbols Quickly Using Alt Codes

Ever found yourself endlessly scrolling through character menus just to insert a simple symbol? Whether you are writing a report, coding, or just chatting, hunting for the right character can really slow you down.

Fortunately, there’s a much faster way! If you are using a Windows PC, you can type special symbols instantly using Alt codes directly on your keyboard.

Here is how to do it:

1. Turn on Num Lock: Make sure the Num Lock key is activated on your keyboard.
2. Hold the Alt Key: Press and hold down the Alt key.
3. Type the Code: While keeping the Alt key pressed, type the specific number code for your symbol using the Number Pad (the block of numbers on the far right side of your keyboard).
4. Release and Reveal: Release the Alt key. The symbol will instantly appear on your screen!

A Quick Example:
Press and hold the Alt key, type 0169 on your Number Pad, and then release the Alt key. You will see the copyright symbol (©) appear immediately!
