Why are my changes to the receipt settings not showing up?

You have adjusted your receipt settings, margins, or templates, but when you print or preview your receipt, it looks exactly the same as before. Even if you increase the values significantly, the changes do not seem to have any effect.

The Cause
In Quick Receipt Software, any modifications made to your receipt settings or templates are applied to newly generated receipts only.

Once a receipt is created, its layout and settings are locked in. If you adjust your settings and then try to reprint a receipt you created before making those changes, it will still use the old settings.

The Solution
To see your recent changes take effect, you must create a brand new receipt to test them.

How to properly test your settings:

  1. Make your adjustments in the Document Settings.
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Create a brand new receipt. (Do not open a previously saved receipt).
  4. Print or preview this new receipt to see how your changes look.
  5. If you need to make further adjustments, repeat this process. Remember to always create a new test receipt after every change!
