Import Item
Quick Receipt offers the capability to import item from an Excel file, providing a convenient method for bulk importing item information.

To successfully import items, the Excel file must adhere to a specific format. A sample import file can be easily downloaded by clicking on the provided link within the import dialog box.

To ensure a successful import, please follow the required format for your data file.
- Header Row
The very first row of the import file must serve as the header. This row contains the fixed column names that the software uses to identify each piece of item information. The order of these columns is fixed and must not be changed. - Item Data
All item information should be entered row by row, beginning from the second row of the file. - Empty Cells
If a specific piece of information is not applicable for a item (e.g., spec is missing), you may simply leave the corresponding cell blank. The import process will handle these empty cells accordingly.
Flexible Import Format & Rules
Our improved Import Tool gives you more flexibility and smarter validation:
One Core Required Field: Your file must include column for “Description”. All other columns are completely optional.
- Columns do not need to be in a fixed sequence.
- If your Excel sheet contains extra or unrecognized columns, the software will automatically ignore them without causing any import errors.
- If an optional column is not applicable, simply leave that cell empty.
