How to Customize Currency Labels (Dollars, Cents) on printed cheques

In ChequeSystem, you can easily customize the currency labels that appear in the “amount in words” section of your printed cheques. This guide will show you how to change the default labels (e.g., from “Dollars” and “Cents”) or remove them entirely to match your requirements.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The currency labels are configured within the settings of each individual chequebook.

1. Navigate to the main menu “Management > Cheque Book Management“.
2. A window will appear listing all of your chequebooks. Find the one you wish to modify and double-click it to open its settings.
3. In the edit screen, locate the Currency Label section. You will see text fields for both “Dollars” and “Cents“.



4. To make your changes:
   • To change a label: Simply type the new text into the corresponding field. For instance, you could change “Dollars” to “Pounds” and “Cents” to “Pence”.
   • To remove a label: Delete all the text from the field, leaving it completely blank. This is useful if you do not want to show “Cents” on your cheques.
5. Click the [Save] button to apply the changes to your chequebook.

The new currency labels will now be used on all cheques printed from this chequebook.
