How to Set Leading Zeros for Cheque Numbers

If your cheque numbers include leading zeros (e.g., 000123), you can configure ChequeSystem to display them by following these steps:

  1. Access Chequebook Management: Navigate to the “Management > Chequebook Management” menu. This will open a list of your chequebooks.
  2. Edit Chequebook Settings: Select the specific chequebook you want to modify from the list and double-click it to open its edit window.
  3. Enable Leading Zeros: In the edit window, find the “Cheque Number” field. Below it, you’ll see a checkbox labeled “Add leading zero and make cheque number has total [ ] digits.” Check this box.

  4. Specify Total Digits: Once the checkbox is selected, you can specify the total number of digits your cheque number should have. For example, if your cheque number is “123” and you set the total digits to “6”, the software will display the cheque number as “000123”.
