How to Set Leading Zeros for Cheque Numbers

In some cases, cheque numbers in a cheque book may include leading zeros (e.g., 000123). To display these leading zeros in the ChequeSystem cheque printing software, follow these steps:

  1. Access Chequebook Management: Navigate to the menu “Management > Chequebook Management” within the software. This will open a list of your chequebooks.
  2. Edit Chequebook Settings: Select the specific chequebook you want to modify from the list and double-click it. This will open the chequebook’s edit window.
  3. Enable Leading Zeros: In the edit window, locate the “Cheque Number” field. Below it, you will find a checkbox labeled “Add leading zero and make cheque number has total [ ] digits.” Select this checkbox.

  5. Specify Total Digits: Once the checkbox is selected, you can specify the total number of digits your cheque number should have. For example, if your cheque number is “123” and you set the total digits to “6”, the software will display the cheque number as “000123”.
