Database locked
EasyBilling is a standalone software designed to protect your data’s integrity with a database lock. To prevent data corruption, only one instance of EasyBilling can have full access to a workspace at a time.
If you try to run a second instance of EasyBilling on the same workspace, a pop-up will appear, giving you the option to run in Read-Only Mode.

Read-Only Mode (v9.7.0 and later)
Read-Only Mode allows multiple users to access the same workspace, but with a specific set of permissions to ensure data remains consistent.
When running in this mode, you can:
- Create, edit, preview, and print documents and reports.
- This allows you to continue working on your documents while another user has full access.
However, you cannot:
- Create or modify customer, supplier, or item information.
- Adjust any software settings.
Previous Read-Only Mode (For older versions)
In versions before v9.7.0, Read-Only Mode had more limitations. While you could still view, print, and preview documents, you were unable to create or edit them. You could, however, create new documents and save them as Drafts, which would then be processed as normal once the database was connected in its regular mode.
